The damier ebene canvas hotel heiress - who is famed for her love of animals - was enjoying a meal at an exclusive restaurant on the paradise island of Bali when she saw the hungry pooch on the beach. So she ordered the chefs to prepare a filet mignon which she promptly gave to the malnourished mutt, who licked his lips over his luxurious dinner.

Paris posted a picture of the canine on her twitter page and wrote: ''Saw a starving stray dog on the beach of the restaurant. Made me so sad. So we ordered him a filet mignon, he loved it! ''

However, the 30-year-old blonde was still upset at seeing the dog and is now campaigning to help all stray canines.

In a series of tweets, she wrote: ''This poor stray dog is breaking my heart.: ( He is so sweet. I wish I could take him home with me. ''

''It's so important to bring awareness to what is wrong in the world. I am using my voice to speak for these animals who monogram canvas can't. (sic)''

She then added: ''The cruel treatment of these stray dogs has upset me so much that I can't sleep. I'm researching the internet to see what I can do to help. ''

And it's not just the dogs that Paris has fallen in love with during her trip to Bali, as she is also quite taken with the monkeys.

She tweeted: ''How adorable is this monkey? I want to take him home! So much fun feeding them bananas! Loves it! #YES! ''
